GUNNEDAH 2024

Live Inspire Lead is an event that brings connection, inspiration and the opportunity to expand your mindset to help in everyday life and business.  Having commenced in 2014 with a Women in Business focus, events have recently expanded to teens and our youth, to help in supporting them in the ever changing world, to ensure we are raising great leaders and a future generation of achievers. 

These events bring the opportunity to connect with like minded people, share experiences and thought provoking ideas, as well as being inspired by some of the most outstanding speakers our country has on offer.

Event Presenter & Host: Magdalena Roze.  Magdalena Rose is a television presenter, journalist, meteorologist, food writer, she hosts the podcast “Oomite” and has been our Host for our last two events, featuring Turia Pitt and Sam Bloom.  Magdalena and her husband Darren now reside in Byron Bay and own and operate the very successful, Three Blue Ducks, at The Farm, Byron Bay, as well as four other locations. Magdalena is an incredible presenter and has a way of engaging her audience and connecting them with our speakers.

Event Keynote Speaker:  Sam Bloom.  Samantha Bloom is a three-time World Para Surfing champion, bestselling author and inspiration behind the #1 Australian box-office, and international global Netflix hit movie, Penguin Bloom starring Naomi Watts.

The movie is adapted from the international bestselling book, Penguin Bloom: The Odd Little Bird Who Saved a Family. Published in 14 languages, Penguin Bloom is a collaboration between Sam’s husband Cameron, a professional photographer, and New York Times bestselling author Bradley Trevor Greive. 

Paralyzed in an accident in Thailand in 2013, Sam has since won two Oceania KL1 paracanoe championships, and is the two-time Australian, three-time Hawaiian and World Para Surfing champion. In 2019, Sam was nominated for the Surfing Australia Female Surfer of the Year Award, and in 2022 was awarded the Surfing Australia Female Para Surfer of the Year. 

Sam works with numerous spinal cord injury charities around the world and is a global ambassador for Wings For Life. She is an adventure traveller, ambassador for Tourism Australia and a former neurology nurse and mother of three boys. 

Event Guest Speaker:  Cameron Bloom.  Cameron is an award winning photographer and cinematographer who began his career at the age of 15. Since then his editorial and travel images have been published extensively, including in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and The New York Times.

Cameron’s images feature in the international bestselling book Penguin Bloom: The odd little bird who saved a family and bestselling sequel Sam Bloom: Heartache & Birdsong. Cameron’s creative talents were recognised at the 2018 GQ Awards where he received the Creative Force of the Year. Cameron and wife Sam’s story inspired the #1 box-office and Netflix success Penguin Bloom starring Naomi Watts and Andrew Lincoln.

Event Guest Speaker:  Kaitie Nash, First Time Farmer, Instagram Influencer @Kaitie_nash.  Kaitie Nash is a passionate, self proclaimed, First Time Farmer sharing her inspiring story of embracing rural living and redefining failure as a stepping stone to success. With humour, vulnerability and practical wisdom, Kaitie will take you on a journey from city streets to red dirt roads, highlighting the challenges, triumphs and lessons learned along the way.  If you haven’t already, check her out at insta Kaitie_Nash and laugh at the day in the life of Kaitie being a first time farmer, wife and hilarious human.

Performer:  Sam Snape, Australian Idol Finalist  Local legend and Solo acoustic artist Sam Snape is joining this line up to create the Live Inspire Lead vibe and turn your afternoon into an even more amazing experience.  Sam Snape was a finalist in the 2024 Australian Idol and Wow’ed the judges, not only with his incredible music talent, but also his down to earth and fun personality, which is no surprise to Gunnedah locals as Sam regularly performs in the area.

Schools Event: 22 November 2024, Gunnedah Town Hall; Schools of Gunnedah and surrounds (only, this is not a public event).  This event is fully funded by our Sponsors (naming sponsor to be included)

Long Lunch Event: 23 November 2024, Gunnedah Town Hall,  Long Lunch Event commencing 12pm, including Long Lunch, live entertainment and presentation by Sam Bloom.   

The event will be set across the Cultural Precinct of Gunnedah and will be themed for a Garden Party.  The incredible talents of our local business will be on display providing an enchanted afternoon, terrific food and wine and an opportunity for you to relax, connect and be inspired.
